Blending heritage and modernity, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) spearheaded by the Sociocultural and Development Office (SDO) led by its Director, Ms. Cecile L. Lapitan, elevated traditional art forms and activities through the Festival of Talents 2025 with the theme โHakbang ng Kultura: Isang Paglalakbay Dala ang Sining at Kultura sa Makabagong Panahonโ held in various areas of the University on 25 April and 2 May.
Through this cultural convergence, the SDO office showcased diverse perspectives and creative prowess of TAU students in various contests and sought to identify future cultural ambassadors who can represent the University in both local and global stages.
This yearโs competition gathered students from the Universityโs six colleges including the Laboratory School (LS). Three representatives per department competed in Visual Arts, Literary Arts, and Musical Arts while 26 young ladies and men vied for the title of Mister and Miss TAU 2025.
In the overall tally, the College of Education (CEd) captured the championship title with 73 points. Close behind, College of Arts and Science (CAS) secured the second place with 62 points and higher counts of bronze making College of Engineering and Technology (CET) with an identical medal count settle for third.
