The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), through the Office of Student Services and Development - Student Welfare Unit and the Guidance and Counseling Office, continues its commitment to student well-being and holds the โ€œBeyond the Storm: Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Awareness Seminarโ€ on TAU Amphitheater - Student and Alumni Center, 19 September.

The said activity aims to deepen the understanding of mental health issues and serves as a safe space for students in addressing challenges that may lead to self-harm and suicide.

TAU Guidance Counsellors assist the learners and conduct a collaborative discussion on different aspects of mental health awareness.

In pursuit of inclusive and sustainable development, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), through the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, carries out its 3rd Quarter GAD Meeting to Strengthen Gender and Development Initiatives at the Farmersโ€™ Training Center - OSITS, 19 September.

The activity brings together the members of the GFPS Executive Committee, TWG, and Secretariat, led by the GAD Director Dr. Ma Theresa B. Nardo, who centers the discussion about the GAD Agenda 2025โ€“2030, GAD Plan and Budget, and Proposal-based Activities for GAD.

University Presidents, leaders, and representatives from State University Colleges (SUC) in Region III gather at the Bulacan State University (BulSU) Main Campus in Malolos, Bulacan, for the Second Executive Forum 2025 led by the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) Commissioner Dr. Desiderio R. Apag III, 19 September.

The plenary session serves as a collaborative platform for SUC Presidents and CHEd officials to tackle pressing issues, align institutional directions with the Philippine Development Plan, and strengthen higher educationโ€™s role in national development.

During the plenary session, CHEd lays out the policy directions for 2025 and beyond and the continuation of reforms under the ACHIEVE roadmap.

Twenty-two students from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) are currently enrolled in various courses offered at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Yogyakarta (UPNVY), Indonesia, through the International Online Credit Transfer Program, which runs for one semester (fully online), from August 2025 to January 2026.

The 22 TAU students consist of 11 from the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), nine from the College of Business and Management (CBM), one from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), and one from the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM).

Through this international learning mobility, the Faculty of Agriculture at UPNVY provides TAU-CAF students with deeper understanding of courses such as Biotech for Plant Protection, Disease Management Technology, Strategic Management, Seed Technology, and Soil Research Methodology.

Campus Tour at BulSU

To further expand its academic networks and strengthen institutional practices, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) officials conducted a campus tour at the Bulacan State University (BulSU) E-Library Building, in Malolos, Bulacan, on 18 September.

Following the discussions on Philippine Quality Assurance led by BulSU officials, the TAU delegation explores BulSUโ€™s learning facilities, relaxation room, thesis dissertation centers, Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), and other innovative approaches BulSU has adopted in advancing its quality instruction and quality assurance.

During the visit, TAU officials also engage in collaborative discussions and visit their Human Resource Management Office, Resource Generation Office, University Shop, Hostel, Amphitheater, and University Disaster Risk and Reduction Management.
