𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐒 | 𝐈𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐀𝐘𝐎

The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) - Tarlac Extension Office, kicks off the Central Luzon Leg of the Investor Protection Week 2025 Campus Roadshow titled “Invested TAYO, Kinabukasang Sigurado,” at the TAU Student and Alumni Center Amphitheater on 18 November.

The program focuses on arming students with the essential tools for their financial future. Experts from the SEC take the stage and deliver vital lessons on smart money management, the principles of responsible borrowing, and, most critically, how to spot and avoid sophisticated investment scams that often target the youth.

Christine Q. Bermillo from the College of Business and Management (CBM) and Ma. Jennefer S. Caliboso from the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) are participating in the Virtual CommTECH Nusantara 2025: The Spirit of Indonesia’s Heroes, organized by the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Indonesia, from November 10 to 21, 2025.

This short-term international program will immerse Bermillo and Caliboso in Indonesia’s rich culture through presentations, group discussions, and interactive activities focused on the country’s national heroes.

Their two-week engagement aims to broaden their cultural awareness and global perspectives, providing them with meaningful learning experiences that they can share with their respective colleges and the TAU community.

Driven to represent Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) on the international stage, students earned awards at the Passage to ASEAN (P2A) Hybrid Mobility by Discipline (HMD): Language and Culture Program, themed “Preserving ASEAN Cultural Heritage with AI–Human Co-Creation,” held online from 29 August to21 October 2025.

Thirteen (13) TAU students joined the virtual program. The Batirulians team, composed of Jhemalyn P. Villar, Arianna Foo Lee Naa, Kristine Joy C. Magno, Hanna Claire O. Cero, Karla Shane S. Esguerra, Nica Kathryn P. Mawirat, and Alyssa Mae E. Bautista—secured the 3rd Prize in the promotional video and poster competition.

Marking the start of a four-day gathering anchored on the theme “Advancing Interdisciplinary Research for Sustainable and Inclusive Development,” the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) led by the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) formally opened the International Interdisciplinary Research and Development Conference in Social Science (IIRDCSS) on 25 November at the TAU Alumni and Student Center Amphitheater. 

Gracing the opening ceremony are key university officials led by Dr. Edmar N. Franquera, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training (VPRET); Dr. Sonny DC. Torres, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA); and Ms. Yolanda F. Juan, Chief Administrative Officer for Administration (CAO-Admin), who collectively emphasized the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration in shaping sustainable solutions for today’s complex social issues. In their messages, the officials highlight TAU’s commitment to fostering research-driven dialogues and strengthening partnerships that cut across sectors, disciplines, and borders.
