The Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) community convenes in a simultaneous flag-raising ceremony on 21 July, reinforcing the institution's collective commitment to public service, environmental stewardship, and academic excellence.Β
Spearheaded by the Property and Supply Management Unit under the leadership of Mr. Eduardo D. Cabrera II, Supervising Administrative Officer for Administration, the synchronized activity enables employees and students across the University to participate in the weekly observance while fostering a shared sense of solidarity and institutional purpose.
The main ceremony is held at the front of the Learning Resource Center, where University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson led the observance alongside Vice-President for Finance and Administration Dr. Arnold R. Lorenzo, Chief Administrative Officer for Administration Ms. Yolanda F. Juan, and Chief Administrative Officer for Finance Mr. Dante A. Revamonte.Β
Simultaneous flag ceremonies are likewise conducted at the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF), attended by Vice-President for Planning and Quality Assurance Dr. Sonny DC. Torres; at the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Grounds, which also accommodates the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) and the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), with Vice-President for Research, Extension and Training Dr. Edmar N. Franquera; and at the TAU Laboratory School Grounds, presided over by Vice-President for Academic and Student Affairs Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco.
Delivering the announcements at the CAS Grounds, Dr. Franquera calls on the University community to practice responsible energy consumption amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, emphasizing the importance of conserving electricity by switching off appliances when not in use. Recognizing that some individuals face barriers to formal education, he likewise points to entrepreneurship as a viable path toward self-reliance and sustainable growth before urging everyone to remain committed as dedicated lingkod-bayan.
During the same program, CET Dean Dr. Ruben A. Parazo introduces the newest faculty member of the Department of Computer Studies and announces the expected arrival of an additional faculty member for the General Education Department on 18 August, reaffirming the University's continuing efforts to strengthen its academic workforce.
