The Golden Harvest (GH), the official student publication of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), secures multiple awards at the 17th National Campus Media Conference (NCMC), marking a strong national comeback in its first participation in a decade at the conference held at Crown Legacy Hotel in Baguio City on October 22โ€“24, 2026.

Returning to the national campus journalism competition for the first time since 2016, GH earns distinctions in both the student tertiary and faculty categories, reflecting the journalistic competence and dedication of its editorial board and publication adviser. The achievement marks a significant milestone for the publication as it renews its presence in a national platform that recognizes excellence in campus journalism.

John Lloyd Agustin, Development Communication Editor, leads GH's awardees with a second-place finish in Sports Writing in English and fourth place in Filipino Development Communication Editing. Lindsay Belle Cruz, Opinion Editor, secures third place in Editorial Writing in English, while Joshua Dela Cruz, Associate Editor, earns fourth place in News Writing in English. Their accomplishments demonstrate the delegates' proficiency across diverse areas of journalistic writing and editing.

Completing the publication's roster of awardees, Mr. Jayvee Macaraig, GH adviser, places seventh in Opinion Writing in the faculty edition, extending the publication's achievements to the conference's faculty category. His recognition also underscores the valuable role of campus publication advisers in nurturing journalistic talent and strengthening the practice of responsible campus journalism.

GH's achievements reaffirm the value of perseverance, mentorship, and sustained commitment to journalistic excellence. After a decade-long absence from the NCMC, the publication's return with multiple distinctions brings pride to TAU and reinforces its pursuit of developing campus journalists who communicate with accuracy, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility to the communities they serve.

Padayon,Golden Harvest! Padayon, TAU!
