Tarlac Agricultural Universityโ€™s (TAU) Department of Extension and Training (DET) launches its School-On-Air (SOA) Program, strengthening its commitment to make relevant agricultural knowledge, technologies, and extension services more accessible to farmers, community partners, and other stakeholders. The program, aired through the DETโ€™s official Facebook page, provides an accessible learning space where experts and practitioners can share practical information and innovations that support sustainable agriculture and community development. In her welcome remarks, DET Director Dr. Agnes C. Perey emphasizes the departmentโ€™s commitment to bringing knowledge beyond the university and making extension education more responsive to the needs of its partner communities.

The launch also draws participation from various organizations, highlighting the collaborative nature of the SOA Program in advancing agricultural development and community engagement. Among those who join the online airing are the Samahan ng mga Inobatibong Kabataang Agripreneur and Developer (SIKAD), led by its President Mr. Jhan Jhan Q. Agustin, and Mr. Edrian Paul M. Racal, as well as Ms. Lily A. Fiesta of the Inner Wheel Club of Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac.ย 

Through the SOA platform, TAU-DET reinforces its role as a knowledge partner that connects the universityโ€™s expertise with communities, particularly by creating opportunities for stakeholders to learn, exchange experiences, and translate agricultural innovations into meaningful action.

The initiative further underscores TAUโ€™s continuing pursuit of extension programs that are inclusive, technology-enabled, and community-centered, demonstrating that learning does not remain within the university campus but reaches people where knowledge can create the greatest impact.
