Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and Mr. Orlando H. Locading Jr., Chief of TAUโs Presidential Management Staff (PMS), are actively participating in the first day of the Higher Education Summit 2026 at SMX Clark, joining key higher education and industry leaders in discussions on transformative academic strategies.ย
The opening sessions feature a message from Cong. Jude A. Acidre, Chairperson of the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education, and a statement of purpose from Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairperson Shirley C. Agrupis, who is also presenting the ACHIEVE Pathway to 2026 and beyond. TAUโs delegation is attending the series of morning panel discussions, including sessions on advanced lifelong learning and harmonized SDG-based research and innovation, which bring together speakers from CHED, Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and various national agencies, organizations, and academic institutions.
Throughout the afternoon sessions, the officials are engaging in concurrent panel discussions covering expanded data analytics, vitalized governance policies, and effective public service. These discussions will focus on stakeholder trust and the harmonization of protocols between public and private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and the greater community of educators, researchers, industry partners, and government agencies working toward sustainable human capital development.
