Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) opens the second day of Innowrite 2026, 02 October 2026, at the TAU Agritourism Hostel, with a program devoted to artificial intelligence and robotics and their growing role in research, work, and education.
Dr. Noel J. Petero, Director for Research and Development, formally opens the activity, welcoming participants and setting the tone for a day centered on technology-driven innovation. The University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson follows with a message on the importance and appropriate use of AI in the workplace and in the academic journey of students. He encourages the participants to treat AI as a tool that supports learning, productivity, and sound judgment, not as a replacement for critical thinking, integrity, and original work.
Dr. Edmar N. Franquera, Vice-President for Research, Extension and Training (VP-RET), also delivers a message, underscoring the university's commitment to strengthening research capacity and extending its benefits to the community.Β
The highlight of the program is the lecture by the visiting International Guest Speaker Dr. Pratik Rajan Mungekar, who shares insights on emerging developments in artificial intelligence and robotics and their practical applications. Faculty, researchers, and students attend the session, which gives them a chance to engage with global perspectives and explore how these technologies can shape the future of research and innovation at the university.
