Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) and the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) strengthen their institutional partnership through a coordination meeting focused on the review and renewal of their Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), reaffirming their shared commitment to sustained collaboration in weather forecasting, climate services, and science-based decision-making. The meeting brings together university officials and PAGASA representatives to discuss the agreementโ€™s renewal and explore opportunities to further enhance cooperation in support of research, education, and community resilience.

During the meeting, Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, Vice-President for Academic and Student Affairs, delivers the welcome remarks, emphasizing the importance of collaborative initiatives in advancing the universityโ€™s academic and research endeavors. University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson delivers the institutional message, underscoring TAUโ€™s commitment to strengthening partnerships that translate scientific knowledge into practical solutions for the agriculture sector and communities vulnerable to weather- and climate-related hazards.

Meanwhile, Engr. Lorenzo A. Moron, Chief of PAGASAโ€™s National Capital Regionโ€“Philippine Regional Services Division (NCRPRSD), delivers a message on behalf of his office, reaffirming PAGASAโ€™s role in providing reliable meteorological information and technical services to support informed planning and decision-making.

Through the review and renewal of the MOA, TAU and PAGASA seek to sustain a productive partnership that bridges scientific expertise and academic capability. The collaboration underscores the importance of institutional cooperation in promoting climate resilience, strengthening knowledge exchange, and supporting evidence-based interventions that benefit farmers, learners, and the wider community.
