Strengthening its commitment to sustainable development in higher education, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), through Sustainability Unit Chief, Mr. Jerome L. Duque, participates in the National Meeting of the Higher Education Institutions' Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Core Team and Regional Data Managers (RDM) at Harolds Hotel, Quezon City, from  22 to 24 October, in his capacity as the appointed RDM for State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Region III (Central Luzon), Region XII (SOCCSKSARGEN), and Region XIII (Caraga).

The meeting gathers project leads, system developers, statisticians, and RDMs to strengthen the platform and ensure the integrity of SDG data across regions. The project is supported by the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) in coordination with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and is led by Philippine Normal University (PNU) and Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU). 

Mr. Duque was recommended by team members from MMSU to the post prior to the event, and his attendance at the three-day meeting marks his first formal engagement with the national team in that role. He participates in the orientation on the platform's architecture, hardware capabilities, and dashboard visualization module, and joins the RDM-led quality assurance and verification of uploaded evidence on Day 2, where he delivers the regions’ status and observation reports.

Mr. Duque's attendance underscores TAU's active commitment to supporting the national SDG data management initiative and to ensuring accurate, timely reporting that advances the Philippines' role in achieving the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
