Representatives from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU), including Dr. Arnold R. Lorenzo, Vice President for Finance and Administration, and Dr. Marianne P. Villaruel, Director of External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA), gather alongside higher education leaders for "The Regional Policy Conference on Future-Ready Higher Education," at Soto Grande Hotel, Iloilo City, from 14-16 October.
ย
Co-organized by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Regional Centre for Higher Education and Development (RIHED) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd), the event focuses on regional collaboration, policy alignment, and academic mobility. The opening sessions on 14 October feature the launch of SEAMEO RIHED's Policy Insights Platform, interactive policy workshops, and panel exchanges with prominent academic leaders from Japan, Thailand, Lao PDR, Korea, and the Philippines. The TAU delegation actively participates in key policy discussions and interactive sessions designed to shape the future of higher education across the ASEAN region.ย
ย
In addition, a meeting led by International Affairs and Services (IAS) Director Dr. Christine N. Ferrer takes place on 15 October, as discussions shift toward the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Programme, focusing on regional collaboration, academic mobility, and policy alignment.ย
ย
These parallel engagements strengthen TAU's global partnership network and reinforce its active role in shaping the future of higher education across the ASEAN region.
