Regional and provincial officers of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) from Regions I, II, III, and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) convene at the Bulacan State University e-Library on 21 July, for the North Luzon Cluster Immersion and Benchmarking Kickoff under the 1TBI Project: Capacity-Building in Technology Business Incubation to Strengthen Incubation Governance and Accelerate Innovative Start-up Ecosystem Development in the region.ย 

Spearheaded by DOST MIMAROPA, DOST Region 3, and the University of the Philippines Saliksik Laboratory, the activity gathers Technology Business Incubators (TBIs) from various State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), local government units with active eGov projects, and successful startup founders as resource persons bringing lived experience and proven practice directly to the officers tasked with nurturing innovation on the ground.

Representing Tarlac Agricultural University's Intellectual Property, Technology Business Incubation and Management (TAU-IPTBM) unit are Dr. Jay-ar De Mayo, Chief of TAU-IPTBM, and Dr. Maribel Ramales, member of TAU-IPTBM, who share insights and best practices from the University's own incubation experienceย  reaffirming TAU's growing role as a trusted resource in shaping a more innovation-driven and enterprising North Luzon.

Through this collaborative benchmarking effort, DOST and its partner institutions reinforce a shared commitment to a stronger, more responsive innovation ecosystem, one where regional offices are better prepared to guide startups, support LGU-led digital initiatives, and sustain a culture of enterprise across the country's regions.
