Officials, faculty members, staff, and students of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) gather on Monday morning for the simultaneous flag-raising ceremony held across various areas of the University, 9 March.
During the ceremony, university officials share important announcements, reminders, and updates on ongoing activities. At the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), the CAS community holds the ceremony along with the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) and the College of Engineering and Technology (CET). CVM, led by Dr. Lavina Gracia M. Ramirez, announces the upcoming CVM Week scheduled from 17-19 March, including the Anti-Rabies Vaccination programβan activity that provides 500 doses of anti-rabies vaccines, which will be available during the said event.
In addition, the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA), Dr. Sonny DC. Torres announces that an upcoming meeting will be held today to discuss the proposed implementation of the four-day work week in order to address related concerns and considerations. He also reminds the faculty members that the Teaching Effectiveness Evaluation will be conducted ten days after the examination week.
Meanwhile, in front of the Library Building - Learning Resource Center (LRC), the University President, Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson also reiterates the scheduled meeting and encourages the University community to remain informed and cooperative as the institution discusses initiatives that aim to improve its operations and services.
Dr. Salunson ensures that the Universityβs plans and initiatives are clearly communicated to all members of the community, emphasizing transparency, collaboration, and the shared responsibility of faculty, staff, and students in supporting the institutionβs goals.
