Faculty members and students of the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) wear pink on Oct. 16, 2026, in support of CVM Pinktober Month, a Gender and Development (GAD) initiative led by the CVM Clinicians’ Club to raise awareness about breast cancer and strengthen campus participation in the advocacy.

Β

Running from Oct. 9 to 30, the campaign encourages CVM students to wear pink every Friday as a visible expression of support for breast cancer awareness. It also distributes information and educational materials to promote a better understanding of the disease, emphasize the importance of early detection, and encourage individuals to take proactive steps toward breast health.

Β

Through this initiative, TAU-CVM underscores the value of education, compassion, and collective responsibility in advancing health awareness within the university community. By bringing faculty members and students together in a shared advocacy, CVM Pinktober Month reinforces the message that awareness, informed action, and solidarity play vital roles in the continuing fight against breast cancer.
