Energy, enthusiasm, and empowerment filled the air as the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) celebrated the 2nd Day of CAS Week on 12 February 2026 with activities that truly ignited the spirit of the Orange Phoenix.
The day started with a bang as CAS students gathered in front of the TAU-Administration Building for an electrifying Zumba session, setting the rhythm for a vibrant morning. Pumped with energy and unified in movement, the students then took on the much-anticipated Obstacle Fun Run around the vicinity of the university. Laughter echoed across the campus as participants leaped, raced, and conquered each challenge proving that resilience and teamwork go hand in hand.
Adding more thrill and excitement to the run, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP),Β Camiling, Tarlac joined the celebration by showering the students with refreshing bursts of water along the route. The surprise splash not only cooled down the runners under the morning sun but also amplified the fun-filled atmosphere turning the activity into a campus-wide celebration of energy and joy.
After the exhilarating run, participants were treated to a free breakfast, a simple yet meaningful gesture that nourished not only the body but also the bonds among students and faculty.
The celebration continued at the CAS Grounds with the conduct of AGNI-CAS, a team-building activity designed to strengthen camaraderie among the Orange Phoenix. True to its name, AGNI sparked unity, collaboration, and trust highlighting the dynamic synergy among CAS students. The activity stood as a testament to the collegeβs strong sense of community, where differences are embraced and collective strength is celebrated.
In his message, CAS Dean Dr. Sherwin S. Alar underscored the deeper essence of the celebration:
Β βThis celebration, therefore, is more than a display of talent or cultural expression. It is a reminder of the power of connectionβthe exchange of ideas, talents, perspectives, and knowledge across disciplines and across nations. It affirms that learning thrives when minds meet, cultures converse, and students are encouraged to dream beyond boundaries.β
As the afternoon unfolded, minds clashed and ideas flourished during the Debate Tournament, where student-debaters demonstrated critical thinking, eloquence, and the courage to stand by their convictions. With every rebuttal and argument, participants exemplified the power of reasoned discourseβan essential pillar of the arts and sciences.
The aroma of grilled delights soon filled the air during the lively Barbecue Party, where the CAS Community gathered to share food, laughter, and stories. More than just a feast, it symbolized the importance of fellowship coming together as one college and as one university, strengthening the bonds that define the TAU community.
Capping off the day was the most awaited spectacle, the CAS Next Top Model. With confidence and creativity taking center stage, the Orange Phoenix showcased not only style and poise but also personality and pride. The runway became a platform of self-expression, diversity, and empowerment, celebrating beauty in all its forms.
Indeed, CAS Week is not merely a festivity, it is a convergence of intellect, culture, and aspiration.
Day 2 of CAS Week 2026 truly embodied vitality, unity, and excellence proof that when Orange Phoenix rises together, they blaze trails beyond boundaries.
