Demonstrating its continued commitment to internationalization and student mobility, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) was represented by Ms. Gieanely M. Agustin and Ms. Gwenyth Izra Q. Veraya, Bachelor of Science in Development Communication (BS DevCom) students from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), during the Student Mobility and Joint Summer Camp 2026 hosted by Universitas Pancasakti Tegal (UPS Tegal), Indonesia, from 22-28 July 22.

The week-long international program brought together students from partner Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across Southeast Asia for a series of academic, cultural, and collaborative learning experiences. Throughout the program, participants attended lectures and workshops, engaged in institutional visits and cultural immersion activities, and joined interactive discussions that encouraged the exchange of ideas, fostered international friendships, and strengthened intercultural understanding.

Ms. Agustin and Ms. Veraya actively collaborated with fellow students from different countries, broadening their academic perspectives while enhancing their communication, leadership, and intercultural competencies. Their participation reflected the University's commitment to providing transformative learning experiences beyond the classroom and preparing students to become globally competitive professionals.

The students' successful participation formed part of the growing partnership between TAU and UPS Tegal, which has continued to create opportunities for faculty and student mobility, international collaboration, and cultural exchange. The Student Mobility and Joint Summer Camp complemented other international initiatives of UPS Tegal that promote global citizenship through cross-border academic cooperation.

The completion of the program underscored TAU's sustained efforts to strengthen its internationalization agenda by expanding global partnerships and equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and cultural awareness needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
