Data from the PAGASA Agrometeorological and Upper Air Station at Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) shows that the heat index reached 38ยฐC at 11:00 AM today, 8 April (Wednesday), and rose to 39ยฐC by 1:00 PM. Currently classified under the "Extreme Caution" category, these temperatures indicate a higher risk of heat exhaustion and stress for those exposed to the sun for extended periods.

In response to these conditions, the University advises all TAUians to prioritize their health by monitoring for symptoms of heat stress and limiting physical exertion. It is highly recommended to stay hydrated, seek shaded areas, and avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours.ย
