Bringing together officials from both institutions to formalize their partnership and discuss potential areas of cooperation, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) and Universitas Tidar (UNTIDAR) of Indonesia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and Implementation Arrangement during a ceremonial signing held at the Office of the University President (OUP) Conference Room on 22 October.

ย

The MOU signing follows UNTIDARโ€™s deployment of five practice teaching students who recently capped off their month-long teaching engagement at the TAU Laboratory School (LS) prior to the ceremony. Their successful completion of the practicum serves as a concrete outcome of the growing partnership and underscores the mutual benefits of international academic exchange.

ย

The program opened with Dr. Leonell P. Lijauco, TAU Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, delivering the welcome remarks, followed by Dr. Marianne P. Villaruel, Director of TAU External Linkages and International Affairs (ELIA), who presented the officials from both universities. Dr. Ahmad Muhlisin, Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at UNTIDAR, also delivered a message expressing their commitment to a meaningful and sustainable partnership.

ย

The ceremonial signing served as the centerpiece of the event, symbolizing the shared vision of TAU and UNTIDAR to advance academic excellence, research, and international cooperation. Following the signing, both parties engaged in a discussion on potential areas of collaboration, exploring opportunities for faculty and student mobility, joint research endeavors, and curriculum development, among others.

ย

Dr. Claire Anne A. Olivares, Dean of the College of Education (CEd), delivered the closing remarks, emphasizing the significance of the partnership in fostering global engagement and enriching the academic experience at both institutions while solidifying TAU's commitment to internationalization of higher education.
