Anchored on its mandate of advancing agricultural innovation and community empowerment, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) continues to strengthen its extension thrust through the ItikPinas Project an integrated research and development initiative aimed at promoting sustainable duck production, improving genetic stock, and enhancing livelihood opportunities among rural farming communities in Tarlac.
In line with this, an ocular inspection of housing and production areas was conducted on May 5, 2026, covering ItikPinas beneficiaries in the municipalities of Mayantoc, Sta. Ignacia, Camiling, and San Clemente to ensure adherence to established project protocols and standards.
The inspection team was led by Extension and Training Director; Dr. Agnes C. Perey, together with project members Dr. Maria Elena T. Caguioa, Ms. Jaira M. Miranda, and Ms. Jessie Christine P. Tongol. They were joined by Project Leader Mr. Nestor J. Padilla and Research Assistant Melody S. Guillermo. The team carefully assessed duck housing facilities, production management systems, and biosecurity compliance among partner-beneficiaries, reinforcing TAUโs commitment to science-based extension services and the sustained development of agri-based enterprises across the province.
