Aligned with its unwavering commitment to advancing research excellence, the University President of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU)ย  Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson expressed his full support for the conduct of the โ€œTraining on Policy Brief/Recommendation Writing and Enhancement of Research Documentation,โ€ emphasizing the Universityโ€™s continuous drive to produce impactful, policy-relevant, and community-responsive research outputs.

The two-day training, held from April 7โ€“8, 2026 at the TAU Bamboo Training Center, is spearheaded by the Office of the Vice-President for Research, Extension (VP-RET) and Training under the leadership of Dr. Edmar N. Franquera, in collaboration with the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP), represented by Research Development Lead Dr. Antonio G. Lalusin. The initiative aims to capacitate faculty, researchers, and stakeholders in crafting concise and evidence-based policy briefs, as well as enhancing the quality and standardization of research documentation.

In his welcoming message, Vice-President for Academic and Student Affairs (VP-ASA) Dr. Sonny DC. Torres underscored the importance of strengthening the Universityโ€™s research foundation through skills development and collaboration, noting that such initiatives pave the way for more responsive and transformative academic outputs.

The second day of the training will feature a writing workshop and open forum, where participants are expected to actively engage in the development of modules, manuals, and protocols. This hands-on approach ensures that learning is translated into concrete outputs that will further enrich TAUโ€™s research ecosystem.

Through this initiative, TAU reaffirms its role as a hub for innovation and knowledge production, fostering a culture of research that contributes meaningfully to policy development and societal advancement.
