In commemoration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) convened its stakeholders for a prestigious awards ceremony at Gilberto O. Teodoro Multipurpose Center on 29 September. The event brought together the University community under the theme "Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan," celebrating the heroic spirit of genuine public service.

The ceremony commenced with a solemn Entrance of Colors and a stirring performance by the TAU Chorale, followed by messages from Dr. Sonny DC. Torres, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs (VPASA), and Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson, University President.

In his speech, Dr. Salunson praised TAUโ€™s legacy of integrity, excellence, and innovation in public service. He recognized leaders, partners, and faculty and staff for their shared sacrifices and achievements, stressing that the Universityโ€™s growth is the fruit of collective effort.

Reflecting on his own service since 2005, he reminded public servants of their oath to be God-centered, people-oriented, environmentally responsible, and nation-loving. He emphasized that the celebration is not just about the past but a call to renew commitment, strengthen public trust, and build a better future for the next generations.

The ceremony was also graced by distinguished guests who delivered inspirational messages, including Hon. Rolando L. Macasaet of SSS/GSIS Pensionado Partylist, represented by Hon. Emilio "Mico" Y. Macasaet, President of the Philippine Councilors' League - Tarlac Chapter, along with Department of Agriculture (DA) Undersecretary Dr. Constante J. Palabrica, represented by DA Assistant Secretary Dr. Benjamin C. Albarace.

The ceremony honored outstanding faculty members through the "Katangi-tanging Guro ng Unibersidad" awards, recognizing excellence across various disciplines: Ms. Trisha Mae M. Ramos (Teaching), andย  Dr. Catherine DR. Pueyo (Extension). Long-serving employees were celebrated through the Meritorious Service Awards, which acknowledged decades of dedicated government service.ย 

The "Katangi-tanging Kawani ng Unibersidad" awards highlighted staff members who exemplify outstanding workplace virtues. Awards were given to Arch. Precious Joy M. Corpuz (Most Courteous), Ms. May Q. Parayno (Most Cooperative), Mr. Noli C. Cayanga (Most Resourceful), and Mr. Eduardo N. Duran (Most Punctual), along with the distinction of Model Non-Teaching Staff that was given to Mr. Roderick V. Garidan, highlight the diverse strengths of the University's education support personnel.

The University also presented posthumous awardees: Mr. Joji U. Cabatic and Mr. Ricardo J. Tablarin Jr., paying tribute to their lasting contributions to the institution.

Cultural performances by the TAU Performing Guild and the TAU Chorale enriched the program, providing entertainment between award segments.ย 

The ceremony culminated in a fellowship dinner that symbolized the strong bonds among members of the TAU community, with special recognitions extending to the Biggest Loser Challenge awardees, adding a unique dimension to the evening's honors by celebrating personal achievements and wellness journeys.
